Chocolate Truffle Workshop
Demonstration and hands-on
Learn how to make the classic French chocolate truffles. If you are passionate about chocolate and want to know the basics for working with chocolate this is the perfect class for you and your Valentine. You will team up with other novice confectioners to create a truffle flavor from scratch, using high-quality chocolate, cream, butter, and other exotic ingredients. You will measure, melt, chill, roll and dip truffles to completion. Cabernet Sauvignon, almond, coconut, raspberry and fleur de sel; each student will make a dozen truffles to take home. These make great hostess gifts or the ultimate sweet temptation for yourself.
Includes hands-on cooking class, recipes, wine and logo apron.
What To Expect: Great cooking isn't about recipes—it's about techniques. In our classes you'll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment.
Classes are 4 to 4 1/2 hours, unless otherwise noted above
You will work with other students in groups of 2 or 3
Hands-on classes are limited to 9 students
You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
Cooking with Julie's recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please let us know before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.
